An annual, audited declaration of the packaging volumes placed on the German market, due once certain volume thresholds are exceeded (including 80,000 kg of glass or 50,000 kg of paper/cardboard, 30,000 kg of other materials). Small online sellers are usually well below these; anyone crossing the thresholds needs a registered auditor. For 2026, a combined declaration covering the old and new legal regimes applies.
